Due to international expansion they are seeking the services of a State Manager to head their Tasmanian operations & two sales representatives. In In this critical State Sales Manager role you’ll be required to develop & expand the business whilst effectively managing their existing portfolio of clients. They’ve developed an incredible online system clients can log into that monitors & reports on all transactions past & present & it’ll be your responsibility to learn the features & benefits to sell to clients. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join an established company who deliver creative business solutions backed by leading edge digital technology & build up your own sales team.

As State/Sales Manager for Tasmania your mandate is to initiate & maintain effective operations within the branch through strong management & visionary leadership as well as deliver the organisation’s agreed financial & market goals by maximising commercial initiatives & profit budget.   Your role is ensure the state delivers it’s numbers, grows market share & the team is highly engaged & performing at the maximum sustainable level.

The successful State/Sales Manager will

  • Be familiar with the nuances of the Tasmanian market
  • Be highly commercial with an entrepreneurial outlook & action oriented approach
  • Have significant experience liaising with & selling services directly to SMEs
  • Demonstrate well developed ongoing customer/relationship management skills
  • Possess strong people management skills & the proven ability to make strong business decisions
  • Be a highly organised & motivated individual with a strong drive for results
  • Be enthusiastic about working with promoting/marketing innovative business solutions & rewards
  • Be a competent public speaker who enjoys presenting to business groups
  • Possess a track record of delivering against budget & target
  • Hold a proven track recording building & maintaining high performance sales team
  • Be a proven leader with a strongly developed coaching style
  • Be coachable & willing to participate in ongoing professional development
  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in business, sales & marketing

  • Have a minimum of 5 years sales experience with a proven track record of smashing sales targets in an outbound role
  • Be a team player -Enjoy working in a true relationship focused role which will see you liaise with a number of stakeholders both internally & externally
  • Be a self-driven sales & business development professional
  • Have extensive experience selling to small to medium sized business
  • The ability to cross sell on other opportunities, products & services
  • Enjoy nurturing & developing immediate relationships with your clients
  • Possess the ability to develop key relationships with decision makers across all fields of business
  • Be able to close on opportunities given as well as generate your own opportunities
  • Be available for out-of-hours work from occasionally to attend product Expos/Trade Fairs, Conferences, etc.
  • Have exceptional communication skills, verbal & written
  • Display a passion & hunger for sales with the drive & discipline to succeed & exceed sales targets
  • Free to travel within state & to mainland for ongoing training & coaching
  • Be computer literate, proficient with MS product
  • Meet governance & business process responsibilities, maintain CRM records & follow the sales process from end-to-end
